Negative Review of Samsung BD-H8900 - Blu-ray disc player with TV tuner and HDD
Is it a dream or a nightmare?. I had a dream that this new player would be the state of the art compared with my sony and panasonic blu-ray players, after all i had read dozens of reviews praising it, glorifying it and making it sound like the best buy on the market for 2014. I now ask myself where do these reviewers get their facts from?. Do they really test the goods or is there some other sinister reason why they praise a particular item?the samsung bd-h8900 does have a good picture and sound quality, but just about everything else let's it down. To begin with, the available apps are pretty much useless, in fact making a search for apps usually brings up videos on youtube instead of executable programmes.
For example, the "mirroring" app which is supposed to mirror everything you see on your samsung tablet doesn't work (my tablet is the samsung galaxy pro 10. The movies app, which is permanently installed in the player, make you believe you're going to watch all these movies as part of the setup. Consequently i enrolled and gave them my email address, only to find that in the next screen it wanted my credit card details at which point i stopped. However, i now get junk emails everyday asking me to join and pay for something they originally made me think was going to be free.
